So, anyway, here we are. My December London trip is basically canceled, and my fall schedule is already bizarre, and it's still bloody summer and will be for two months, and the US of A is in crisis, so....
Let's talk about clothes. Also, shoes. :)
I managed to make seven weeks without real clothes or shoes purchases, which for me is truly impressive. (My annual budget was part of that restraint: I wanted to save something for fall/winter. I'm v much hoping Carel Paris comes out with a Kina model --low heeled, multi-strapped Mary Janes, chic as you like -- in brown or burgundy, but even if they do, they're spendy.) I also am thinking about work-from-home Zoom-friendly attire as well, since online meetings will be instituted as a big part of work duties.
So I've gone through my closet asking what one or two items I could use to freshen my wardrobe. (I, um, have a lot of properly curated clothes. I mean, a lot.) I will be haunting ThredUp for a new black or navy jacket, but it has to be perfect and it's not necessary right now. Thus, I realize that my only opening is for a pink shirt.
(Note: I like tailored, constructed clothes.)
Have I bought the perfect pinky-lavender oversized shirt to wear with narrow trousers or pencil skirts and low heels or trainers? Why, yes. Yes, I have. Thanks, Ann Mashburn.
I also have bought new workout shoes, thanks to accidentally stepping in dog-poop in the dark on Wednesday night, but these are less exciting. Thanks, Miss Adventure. ;)
