I just realized that I have been v.v. quiet on all social media, including this account, for a week or so. Just tired beyond belief, and allergy-ridden, and down.

I realize that it's not just me. In a work meeting this afternoon, every single one in the meeting was just barely managing to get through the day. But lo! we did!

So there's that.

And here are two things which have brightened my days:

*there will be a feature film adaptation for a Regency romance (which I've not read) called Mr. Malcolm's List, and Zawe Ashton will be one of the leads. Also in the film will be the main fellow from Sanditon, apparently, a show I couldn't quite get into.

*So THiddleston is filming The Essex Serpent and there are tons of behind-the-scenes shots coming out. Here's a selection of some, featuring different costumes. So the thing is, now I want to write an essay about the romance signification of the Long Coat in period adaptations. :)

I've never thought about the significance of long coats in adaptations...just that they sure are pretty!
