Still Behind, Post #6

Imagine the same opening I have had for the past twelve months. Same, same, same.
So here are 5 Things:
1) I am thoroughly enjoying WandaVision despite being fairly uninformed about Marvel Cinematic Universe and comics canon. I'm sure I'm missing fun fan service and allusions to other stories, but it's really working for me as is. Also, I've now got the song from the end of Episode 7 on an endless loop in my head.
2) Because Ms. Zawe Ashton is reportedly signed for Captain Marvel 2, last night I semi-watched the first Captain Marvel. THAT was a film where I needed comics canon to be able to decipher the twists and turns of plot. (To be fair, I also was knitting through a lot of it, and I tend to zone out during extended action setpieces anyway.) Really enjoyed the 1990s classic "Celebrity Skin" by Hole over the end credits, though!
3) You know, this song. Such a banger, as the kids say.
4) Miss Adventure continues naughty on the leash. We're also working on recall with a treat in the backyard. Her current mode: I say "Come. Treat," and show her the treat; she sniffs it and gallops off in prime Corgi stylee; I find her by the backdoor, waiting for me. This is not exactly the plan, but... better than it was.
5) Spent time this afternoon separating out some of the costume jewelry necklaces I never wear, to send to my goddaughters. I only ask that they not call the jewelry 'retro' in my hearing. ;)
Cheers to all, and may there be good days ahead for you.

Date: 2021-02-22 01:02 pm (UTC)I have inherited an enormous amount of costume jewelry, mostly brooches, from my mother, mother-in-law and grandmother, which I really need to sort out. Perhaps if I call it "retro" my nieces might be keener on taking it off me. They don't seem to want it at the moment but I'm hoping brooches will come back into fashion one day. A "retro" brooch sounds like a desirable object :)
Many hugs and wishes for good days for you :)
