Oh man, I am so tired.

This is because 1) it's unbelievably hot (12 degrees F above normal) still, which enervates me, and 2) my allergies meant I got 5 hours' sleep last night, and 3) killer workouts on Saturday and yesterday evening, ouch.

So let's cling to three things that make me happy:
1) Tom Mison photoshoot in The Rake magazine. Lordt.
2) I made it through yesterday's work and workout. For a while there I thought I wouldn't.
3) Iced tea in a Fortnum's flask for the office, brewing now. Today's drink is Green Tea with Ginger.

What's good with you? Sending hugs.

Lovely to see the Mison photoshoot. I've thought about him at times, and how much I enjoyed S1 of Sleepy Hollow.

Ouch, I'm sorry, that all sounds awful! Green tea with ginger sounds lovely, though.

Here's my happy thing: Paul and I went to Claremont Village today for our anniversary. The Birkenstock shop is still in business, and my friend the owner/manager was there today, and she had exactly the Birkies I wished for. So we had a nice gossip before anyone else came in, and I have nice new navy suede Arizonas.

Hugs, and hopes of some good restorative sleep tonight.

Allergies are a scourge everywhere this week, it seems.

((Hugs)) Well, the first phase of the great bathroom(s) remodel of 2019-2020 is almost completed and the quartz, sinks, and faucets we picked out for the three bathrooms all look pretty great. The only annoying part is that the contractors somehow forgot to cut a couple of small pieces, from two different quartz remnants, and now we get to find out if they can still find the scraps and haven’t thrown them out. However, we’re not paying them until every bit is done, so they’ve got plenty of incentive to get it done. Unless you’re the sort of people who can afford to hire a designer and give them a blank check, this is a stressful process. But everything was rusting out, molding, broken, or in the process of getting there so this had to be done, and all at the same time because it’s radically cheaper that way. This isn’t the first time they’ve messed up (they managed to damage one of the first remnants we managed to unearth in their scrapyard after we’d signed the contract and there was another’s wrek and a half of wrangling while we got a different piece of stone for the same price). But, it’s been cool making all the decisions ourselves and seeing how great it does look so far. Now phase two, where we redo the entire shower and tub surrounds with a complimentary fabricated material, can kick off.

No sinus headache so far! Cold symptoms not obvious at the moment... I'm clinging to the small things right now.

Hugs!
