1) So tired. So, so tired.
2) Did two hour-long workouts in a fourteen-hour period, which, ouch a bit, but mostly I'm tired from other things.
3) But it's Friday, hurrah!
4) Am wearing Paul Smith socks (black with bright pink flowers) for a secret lift.
5) What's lifting you up right now?
6) I am eating Greek yogurt (low-sugar, no Xylitol).
7) Master Danger gets to lick the yogurt cup when I'm done, which he appreciates.
8) I am thinking about music as well. Been listening to Hot Rocks for a little olde-time Rolling Stones action.
9) Thinking about switching to Elvis Costello or Bill Withers or Sade for the evening.
10) In the car this afternoon, I heard on the radio this 80s bop -- "Things Can Only Get Better" by Howard Jones.
11) Wouldn't it be pretty to think so.
12) [sings Whoa-whoa-whoa chorus]
13) I have been writing on an original project lately and planning another.
14) But sometimes I find myself thinking about Mycroft, no longer the British Government, and how he's getting along.
15) In the short term, honestly, poor Sherlock.
16) Speaking of British thesps I like, Tom Hiddleston has been doing loads of press for Betrayal. The New York Times article is especially nice.
17) We will not speak of the journalist who brought up Taylor Swift to Hiddleston after the subject had been deemed off-limits.
18) Let's show some manners, rude journalist.
19) I am slightly embarrassed by how much I enjoy TSwift's video for her new single "Lover".
20) TSwift gives me a bit of secondhand embarrassment herself, too.
21) Clearly I am a fool for melodic pop songs, anyway.
22) Let's put on something great and dance around the living room.
23) Hugs to all!

The socks sound fun, and I'm glad you have something secret to lift your mood. I love fun socks!

My bit of uplift: I've been slaying the usefuls like whoa, and my pseudo Japanese cucumber pickles were a huge success. I made a new batch today and also a batch of pickled radishes, so that was a happy thing.

I wish you a good and hopefully cooler weekend. Hugs!

Oh, I like that song! I haven’t heard it on the radio in a long time. I have it on disc somewhere. I’m glad you’re finding things to uplift you. Right now I’m uplifted because I finished my workout and G and I are about to watch the finale of Good Omens. I’m rewatching it with him, and he’s enjoying it.

Yay for fun socks and original projects.

What's lifting me up right now is using up the many apples that the tree in our garden is producing and going blackberry picking to add to the apples. Doing something simple like that in the sunshine (before it got too hot again) was great fun and worth the bramble scratches.

Many hugs back to you and the appreciative Master Danger.

I hope this weekend has provided a bit of R&R for you as well as some creative time.

This weekend I managed to paint the dry wall recently installed to replace the holes where the black mold was removed...this is enormously uplifting as we will soon be able to reposition three 8’ bookcases in the guest room (plus several comic-book shelves in the closet) so that all the homeless books and comics can be returned to their proper places before the house is filled with booksellers next month. The guest bed is presently serving as book support and all the others are stacked around thr bed to make it inaccessible. Yeesh....

Hi hi!

I actually came looking to see whether the impending hurricane was going to (possibly) cause issues for you. Looks like issues for the whole state, from where I am... Anyway, hope it isn't a panic for you at all.

I actually enjoyed Good Omens, in spite of DT; I think it was a combination of character and that his eyes were covered... ;-)

It's actually cloudy here (as it should be, and hasn't been, much), but no real rain to speak of. My eternal room of sorting is looking better, and my tiny, silly, plastic purple electric spinning wheel makes me smile.
