1) Master Danger had a v hard time with the anesthesia associated with his dental cleaning, and he has been letting me know about it for the past five days. Snappish? Oh, that's the least of it.
2) Warm day in advance of v.v. cold air; the windows are open to the sun, and I've dusted and swept and cleaned the bathrooms, la la la, and burned my Bridie Hall candles just long enough to make the house smell divine. Now I just have three stacks of clutter to winnow -- possibly after a nap.
3) I am not watching the Marie Kondo Netflix show, but I read the book some years ago (and exchanged it at the used-book store because it didn't bring me joy). At that point, however, I gleaned enough to fold my T-shirt drawers in manner Kondo, and that is a good thing.
4) I am so tired I cannot even. Oh dear.
5) The clothes-fast is on its second week. To be fair, the shirt dress isn't coming until Tuesday, but it was purchased two weeks ago, so there we are. Clothes-fast ahoy!
And here are three three-sentence fics on the subject of tidying:
Indy is not a naturally tidy person, as anyone who's seen his office would attest, but his personal collection of artifacts is rigorously catalogued and ordered.
Sometimes Marion goes into the spare room they've designated for his collection and surveys all the markers of the years he spent without her.
But he always finds her there, always slides his arms around her, always whispers into her hair, "Let's go find another treasure to add to our stuff," and it's enough for comfort.
.........................
"There's a difference between tidy and clean," Anya says sharply, "and--"
"Both are important," Giles finishes, just as sharply.
Andrew and Dawn look at each other and sigh, for when the senior members of Investigation and Acquisition speak with one voice, it always always means more work for the junior members.
..........................
Amenadiel often misses the order of Heaven, the clarity of atmosphere, the symmetry, the sense he knew his place.
Here in his Los Angeles exile he is surrounded by mess -- of humans, of place and pollution, of his brother Lucifer's affinity for human chaos and emotion.
But sometimes, as when Lucifer calls him "brother" and holds on to him, Amenadiel thinks it's just another kind of order, and he's content.
.......................
Hugs and more joy to all, whether you're tidying or not.

Date: 2019-01-20 10:13 pm (UTC)I feel for you with your snappish Master Danger. I'm supposed to brush the cats' teeth, and do I? No, I do not.
Love, love, love the ficlets. I think I stopped reading the Investigation and Acquisitions I bookmarked, but I mean to go back to them after I move. Lovely ficlets.
