Five-Minute Post, Post #49

It's very much Monday, and I realize I haven't posted in a week, so --

1) It's unseasonably humid here in the subtropics, where as a rule the humidity goes away by November 1. Master Danger was panting like it was September on the morning walk.
2) My house renovation continues. We are (M says) about the halfway mark. I am very ready for it to be done.
3) This was a sad weekend for me, due to anniversaries and changes, and I only just managed to do my long walks (both days), water the new plants (both days), and bake cornbread muffins before I had to turn the A/C back on.
4) I also started making a list about the house stuff I need to do, but didn't have the energy to do it.
5) I really wanted to go see Thor Ragnarok but didn't manage it either.
6) Master Danger says hey. He is truculent today, thanks to a random encounter with a leashed dog who wanted to be friends on our walk this morning. Master Danger DOES NOT WANT FRIENDS DAMN IT.
7) You know how I love Grey Fox, who a week or so ago favoured us with his take on dressing gowns. Now it's cravats. LOVE THE LOOK, omg.
8) Clearly I live in the wrong place, because the chance of seeing older straight fellas wearing these kinds of clothes where I live is roughly zero. Can it be below zero? Sigh.
9) Less than two months to London.
10) I am craving glen-plaid trousers. The great Michelle Obama shows us the way.
11) On a different note, can I just say FUCK KEVIN SPACEY. I am so so sad and angry that he has turned out to be thoroughly vile, and I won't be able to watch some of my favorite films again because of him.

I am SO ANGRY about Kevin Spacey. I'm angry about all the abusers whose horror behaviour has come to light, but for some reason the Spacey reveal is just hitting all my rage buttons.

I'm sorry to hear it was a sad weekend for you :-( Be kind to yourself.

Celebrity gossip used to be my guilty pleasure, a nice break from current events, but now I hardly look at it at all because I am just heartsick about all the allegations coming out. Then again, part of me is not surprised because this is the industry that venerates Woody Allen and Roman Polanski. Shameful.

Whenever you feel down, mark big countdown X's on a calendar so you can see exactly how many days to London!
