usedtobeljs1. I had a brief bit of traveling this weekend to see family. They were fine, as was a drive across the plains in a bright blue winter morning, flocks of geese making shivery lines in the sky; as was the Plaza in Kansas City, all lit up for the holiday.
2. Less fine was a long, unplanned layover in the Atlanta airport. Ugh.
3. During the layover I amused myself by rereading Georgette Heyer's The Quiet Gentleman, one of my favorites.
4. Master Danger was feeling a bit under the weather yesterday, but today he is more himself. Today he is also clean, because I had to bathe him (due to the side-effects of his being under the weather). It's likely to storm tomorrow, however, and he will NOT be pleased.
5. Putting together my Heyer reread and the prospect of storm -- "Storm and Sense," a domestic vignette set after the book. Drusilla does not like storms (as we learn in canon); Gervase has other reasons to dislike thunder. They find a sensible way to deal with both.
Plus one -- happy birthday, Mobile_ALH! :)
