5-Minute Post, Post #5
Feb. 11th, 2021 01:05 pmOh man, so much work, so much work. Instead of dwelling on that, 5 Things:
1) Regarding yesterday's revelations from Charisma Carpenter, Michelle Trachtenberg, etc, about JW, with supportive comments from Amber Benson, Sarah Michelle Gellar, and Emma Caulfield Ford, I can only say how bitter it is to be so unsurprised. I stand by them 100%.
2) Tony Head has publicly said that while he didn't see the abuse (and keeping it in private seems like the method employed by a lot of harassers and abusers), he accepts it as true.
3) I still love a lot of BtVS and AtS -- and the making of those shows was the work of many, many more people than the creator and showrunner -- but JW has been on my To Avoid list for some time, and I imagine that will remain the case from now on.
4) British TV writer James Moran on Twitter wondered if JW's retribution affected what happened to Anya at the end of Season 7. I have long thought the same. But Emma Caulfield Ford is currently riding high with her recurring role on Wandavision, so I imagine she won't revisit that time in public.
5) And to think of something different, today's moment of cuteness: Miss Adventure is so bossy that when I put on her leash for her morning walk, she collects the other end of her leash in her mouth and speeds off to the front door, as if to say, "Too SLOW, lady, come ON."
