The Beginning of 2021, Post #1
Jan. 3rd, 2021 05:41 pmAh, such a sweet summer child I was on December 31. I knew enough not to say that I thought the new year would be better, but somewhere in the recesses of my mind, I must have thought too loudly.
What resulted:
Jan 1 -- bad news about a family member
Jan 2 -- during socially distanced visit with friend A, bad news about an acquaintance; phone call later that evening from Grad School friend with bad news about another person I know
Okay, I'm already done with that.
I do have intentions for 2021, but unlike previous years, I think I'll keep them to myself. I'm writing them down in a notebook, however, and I'll check back for myself next December.
Since January 1, I have, however, 1) reset my clothing budget and ordered a sale item from Paul Smith \O/, and 2) begun to teach Miss Adventure to shake her paw, using the prompt word "enchante". This amuses me so, so much.
I'm easily amused, it's true.
Otherwise: I have no current fandoms at the moment. (Lucifer will return this year, and Endeavour, but I do not engage in fannish pursuits with them.) I will say that I did watch most of Bridgerton and v.v. much enjoyed Adjoa Andoh as Lady Danbury and the raised eyebrows, voice, and general perfection of Rege-Jean Page as the Duke of Hastings. Also, how cute is Luke Thompson as Benedict? Alas, however, I don't feel particularly fannish about it, so there we are.
But never mind. Off we go into 2021! As a certain pinstripe-suited Doctor was wont to say, allons-y! And I will add virtual hugs as well. :)
