gwynnega: Three Things I Might or Might Not Know or Care About
I was given the following:
Pens
I do rather care about pens, but only insofar as the kind of pens one can buy at Office Depot or similar. I like gel pens even when they leak, although I am disturbed by pens when the ink soaks through to the other side of the page. I used to like fine-point pens, but the thin line seems cruel to me now, I don't know why.
I also keep jars of pens in my study and kitchen at home, and one at my office. Half of the pens in these jars are likely to not work. It's a gamble every time.
Nail Polish
I admire nail art on others, but I cannot keep polish on my fingernails at all, and I do not see myself with nail art effects in any case.
I do like polish on my toenails. (Which reminds me I should do that tonight.) My preference is for rich saturated reds and pinks, although I don't know why.
Umbrellas
As a dweller in the subtropics, I am a collector of umbrellas. I am also a breaker of umbrellas, although I never mean to. In the blue glazed pot by my front door right now: a turquoise umbrella (travel size), a Tiffany-lamp inspired umbrella (travel size, broken), and a rather racy umbrella with 18th-century images in blues and creams (travel size), purchased at the gift shop in Sir John Soane's Museum.
I would like a proper English umbrella someday, but I don't think they come in travel size....
Okay then! Let me know if YOU would like three random topics on which to opine!
