Five-Minute Post, Post #50
Nov. 12th, 2017 08:10 pmThis should be a major post, one thinks, what with it being #50, but my 'little grey cells' are misfiring and I am tired and sad. So, five minutes --
*Murder on the Orient Express is a delight. Just entertaining and beautifully done, with fabulous actors from top to bottom. Sir Ken is a fine Poirot (say I, who heretically have not loved David Suchet's Poirot), and in a stellar cast Daisy Ridley and Leslie Odom Jr were especially fine.
*HVAC work last week, which involved men up in my attics and the plaintive sound of Johnny Cash's Greatest Hits wafting down through the vents.
*Lunch out today with a dear friend in the Posh Town Nearby, sitting outside in clouds and a stiff east breeze. I am now allergy-ridden like anything.
*I walked this morning, too, my hour-long exercise up and down what passes for hills here. At last all the hurricane debris has been picked up.
*I am starting to plan my London splurges (beyond theatre, and a nice hotel, and dinners and tea with friends). I think I'm going to buy fabric for my new bedroom whilst near Peter Jones. :)
*Master Danger says hello, grudgingly. He played outside this afternoon and is slightly weary, bless him.
What's the good word with you? Sending hugs and good thoughts!
