Five Things Plus One, Post #36
1. I had a brief bit of traveling this weekend to see family. They were fine, as was a drive across the plains in a bright blue winter morning, flocks of geese making shivery lines in the sky; as was the Plaza in Kansas City, all lit up for the holiday.
2. Less fine was a long, unplanned layover in the Atlanta airport. Ugh.
3. During the layover I amused myself by rereading Georgette Heyer's The Quiet Gentleman, one of my favorites.
4. Master Danger was feeling a bit under the weather yesterday, but today he is more himself. Today he is also clean, because I had to bathe him (due to the side-effects of his being under the weather). It's likely to storm tomorrow, however, and he will NOT be pleased.
5. Putting together my Heyer reread and the prospect of storm -- "Storm and Sense," a domestic vignette set after the book. Drusilla does not like storms (as we learn in canon); Gervase has other reasons to dislike thunder. They find a sensible way to deal with both.
Plus one -- happy birthday, Mobile_ALH! :)
Hugs to all in this season of light.

Poor Master Danger (and poor you!). I hope he's feeling better, and that whatever ails him is of short duration. May the storm also be short and mild for you.

The morning walk will be interesting, as it is raining hard. (His constitution requires a morning walk.) And I'm starting a cold, whee! But we persevere.

Hugs and a good Thursday!

Poor Master Danger. We went to see Matthew Bourne’s new production of Swan Lake last night and there was a model corgi on stage (for royal reasons) and I thought of you and Master Danger :) Obviously they didn’t dare put a real corgi on stage!
Many hugs back.

OOOH, Matthew Bourne's Swan Lake! How awesome! I believe that a stage production of The Audience, with Helen Mirren playing the Queen, had live Corgis, but it was not necessarily a good idea. (Hee.)
May your Christmas and New Year be lovely, and may the next year be easier for us all.
