1) Happy holidays to all those who celebrate days of importance to them.

2) Happy day to those who are celebrating only a day in April.

3) I would like to say in passing that I loved Doctor Who's first series 10 episode. Loved Bill, loved my Doctor, loved the rich look of the university setting, loved the humour and the heart.

4) And in honour of a certain photograph on the Doctor's desk -- "Marking", an interstitial fic for the episode, set before Bill goes inside the TARDIS. Twelve/River, of course, with Bill and Nardole around. On an ordinary tutoring evening, the Doctor is avoiding doing his marking. He needs a certain pen.

5) Birdsong, flowers, wildfire smoke in the air. It's a subtropical spring, all right.

I'm back on DW after a long absence, and your lovely little story reminds me of what I liked most about being on LJ in its heyday. I do miss River, but I love the Doctor and Bill.

Bill is wonderful! I'm so enjoying her rapport with Twelve, whom I love. She's a delight.

(But I will always miss River.)
