I’ve finally seen The Murder Room and treated myself to this. This felt totally in character and very plausible to the way the TV series ended. It’s my head canon from now on.

I’ve read some of the books and seen most of the various TV adaptations but for me Bertie Carvel *is* Dalgliesh :)
