I can't knit and watch tv at the same time. I lose the stitches and lose the plot!

I have inherited an enormous amount of costume jewelry, mostly brooches, from my mother, mother-in-law and grandmother, which I really need to sort out. Perhaps if I call it "retro" my nieces might be keener on taking it off me. They don't seem to want it at the moment but I'm hoping brooches will come back into fashion one day. A "retro" brooch sounds like a desirable object :)
