I think you would like this flavor called Scout Mint sold by a local gourmet ice cream chain: the ice cream is made with locally grown organic peppermint extract (this is Seattle, of course it’s locally grown and organic) and is laced with crushed thin mints. Sooo good. When I was a kid my family always had ice cream around because my Dad loves it so it’s one of my favorite things. Childhood food likes and dislikes get hardwired into your lizard brain. I remember an article about chefs wherein they discussed what their last meal would be, and it generally ended up being a version of their favorite foods from childhood.
